Movement: Presence

A gentle introduction of how we will move in His presence, under the authority of the spirit by creating a focus on WORSHIP rather than a WORKOUT.

Lord your word says, “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”

-Psalm 16:11

“And the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

-Genesis 2:7

We Breathe you in God, Breathe on us.

EXERCISES:

  1. Cross-legged– breathe in arms out and up overhead, exhale hands to heart
  2. Side bend– reach 1 arm overhead and bend to the opposite side
  3. Forward fold– circle the sun and moon (fingertips stay on the ground)
  4. Hip openers– seated with your hands behind you, tabletop, single-leg figure 4, twist
  5. Seated mountain– legs extended forward, inhale arms up, fold forward, roll up
  6. Surrendering space– arms reach out (open your heart!)
  7. Straddle– fold forward, side bend
  8. Abounding– feet close in or further out, fold forward

*Now, we will move together into our mind moves with a scripture meditation
